Thoughts from a School Nurse You might feel a little stick!

Last night Emily Grace had practice with her Girl Scout troop for the Bridging Ceremony next Friday. She's a Daisy, and will officially become a Brownie next Friday night. After the ceremony, the Brownie's and Mom's are going to eat pizza and then return to the Scout Hut for our first sleepover. Thankfully, my great friend Gina is going to let me borrow her air mattress. Otherwise, I don't know how I would fare on that hard, thinly carpeted cement floor in the Hut.

Emily Grace loves Scouts, and she's in the same Scouting program that Mark was in, and her Uncle Jason. They are both Eagle Scouts, and I hope Emily Grace will follow in her Daddy's footsteps to complete the program. One of the other Mom's in Emily Grace's troop and myself have volunteered to be the Brownie leaders for the next TWO years! As I look over the handbook, I wonder what I've gotten myself into... but I think it will be fun. I have to attend two training sessions over the summer and complete some on-line studies to be ready for the fall start-up. Wish me luck! We might be a fairly "new" troop, but we're going to have tons of fun!
