Today was the first time in months that Mark actually went to church with me and Emily Grace, instead of playing in the band and us meeting him there. He's usually out of the house by 6:00am on Sunday mornings and doesn't get home until around 1:30pm. It was great! We slept late; until almost 8am (Emily Grace did too!) and rode to church together. The message was great today.
After church we met some friends to see the movie Wall-E. It was good. A tree-hugger movie for sure. Save the planet! It was cute; and it was nice to see Alan, Melissa and Elie. We don't see them often enough.
Later this afternoon, we met Mark's parents, his brother Jason and his wife, Christina and our nephew, Jacob for an early dinner. Tomorrow is John's (Mark's Dad) birthday. It was a good visit; Jacob is as sweet as ever. We ate at the Olive Garden, which is always good. After we got home, we were outside and the black bunny that Emily Grace has named Hoppy, came to visit in the backyard. Mark was standing still, and the bunny hopped over to him and let Mark pet him. So Mark went in the house and brought out a couple of baby carrots and some broccoli and Emily Grace sat down in the grass and fed Hoppy. He came so close that he actually hopped under Emily Grace's legs and let us pet him. He's been coming to our yard for months but has never let us get this close to him before. We're sure he was once someone's pet and was either turned loose or escaped. He's our Hoppy now, and the best kind of pet!
