It's been a good holiday weekend. We watched fireworks, saw a movie, got some of the painting done and visited with family.
We found the perfect spot to watch the fireworks in Harrisburg. We parked at Sonic Drive In and had a fruit slush while we watched right over the trees. We avoided the crowd at the park and last year, we avoided the thunderstorm that happened just as the show was ending. It's a great location.
Mark and I saw the movie Get Smart this weekend. It was really funny and I enjoyed it a lot. Steve Carroll (not sure if I spelled his name correctly) cracks me up and I laughed out loud several times during this film.
The painting is a slow process. I have all the walls prepared and we bought all the supplies. So I painted the trim and the doors in the foyer. Gave everything two coats, and dang it, I have to put another one on the doors! I need someone to tell me how to keep the paint from getting too thick. Either that, or I have to paint faster!
It's been a good weekend. Church today was great; our student minister Travis gave the message and we had a guest worship leader. They both did an excellent job. Ending the day with one of my favorite movies, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Hey Lisa - we watched Harry
Hey Lisa - we watched Harry Potter last night, too. All Stephen could talk about is how is can't wait for November when the next movie comes out.
