This morning Emily Grace was back to her old self; woke up starving and ate a bowl of grits and drank a glass of milk. She wore a new dress to church and received lots of compliments on it and her new haircut. Church service was awesome today; the band was kickin' and Jimmy's message on prayer was just what I needed to hear. I need to work on being more consistent with my daily prayers and growing in my spiritual life. Jimmy always seems to be speaking directly to me in his sermons!
After Mark got home from the second service (he's in the band and helps set up and tear down), he ate lunch and we went to the pool for the afternoon. It was so hot! I saw a few people I knew and Emily Grace hooked up with their kids to play in the pool and on the water slides. It was a really fun afternoon. Now with supper finished and baths taken, Emily Grace is in bed and already asleep! Mark and I will watch some good TV with the season premier of Ice Road Truckers and a new season of The Next Food Network Star.
I spoke to my friend Sara, who spoke to our friend Silvia. She arrived in Florida okay, and her mom's surgery is scheduled for tomorrow. The doctors are concerned, however, because the surgery will be a total hip replacement and her mom has been sick with respiratory problems. Please say a prayer for Silvia's mom's health and recovery, and for Silvia's strength and courage. I know she will appreciate it, and so do I.
