Long Time, No Blog

I'm finally starting to settle back into a routine after being at the beach for a week. Our church youth camp, Thirst '08, was off the heezy. The kids were amazing, and the adults worked tirelessly (even though they were all sleep deprived) to make the experience life changing. Over the course of the week there were dozens of decisions to follow Christ, and Sunday some of those students and adults were baptized. I'm really glad I went.

This week, we've been getting back to a schedule. I'm starting to work more consistently with Emily Grace to review math, writing, reading and spelling. She's doing great and really loves math. Can you tell I'm a proud Mommy?? I've enjoyed the normal household things, like cooking supper, watching tv and doing laundry. Okay... maybe not so much the laundry, that was a reach (Mark does most of that anyway), but you get the idea.

Tomorrow I'm heading to the madness that is Walmart to get school supplies and a few other things tax free. I'm trying to go early to avoid as much of the crowd as possible, but I'm sure I'll encounter the aimless wanderer that seems to park their buggy right in my way while they decide between Crayola and the off brand to save $.20 and is totally oblivious to anyone around them. I REALLY HATE SHOPPING!
