I just finished an uninterrupted lunch in my office! That almost never happens. Just when I sit down to eat, students come in from the playground needing a bandaid or ice, or someone throws up in the cafeteria and they need to go home. Today has been relatively quiet. So far, I've only seen 6 students. I'll see more this afternoon, just because it's so hot outside. My asthma kids will file in, sweaty and breathing hard, needing their inhaler due to whatever activity they've been playing. I'm so ready for school to be out and for the summer break, but I realized today that I'll actually miss some of the kids I see. Especially my daily med-takers. I'll miss my little diabetic student the most, I think. He's always so eager to help me do things in my office, and tells me about things going on with his life. He's one of 6 kids and a little attention-starved, I think. Yeah, I'll miss him most. Well, time for the lunchtime rush, then its off to finish my weekly report!
