Tuesday thoughts:
*I can't wait for Mark to get home from his work conference. I miss him terribly, and so does Emily Grace.
*Emily Grace has new glasses; she looks too grown up and I almost can't take it.
*I'm glad it's cold outside. It finally feels like Thanksgiving!
*I've already put out some of my Christmas stuff in the kitchen; I've never done it this early, but I just can't wait this year!
*I love my iPhone.. I find something almost every day that I didn't know it could do!
*I'm looking forward to Small Group this week. We always have such good discussions.

Weekend Plans

I'm so glad tomorrow is Friday, I don't know what to do with myself. Sometimes the short weeks at school are the longest. Tomorrow night we're planning to visit a new restaurant in town. The owner's daughter attends my school, and it's supposed to be gourmet italian; no pizza! Not sure what Mark will eat... but I'm curious to see how good it is after hearing about it for months.

Short Version

I don't have a lot to say today; not a lot about one certain subject, anyway. So I'll just tell you about my weekend and thoughts in the "short version".

Friday night was Small Group. We had a good time, good discussions. It's fun to get together and just doing it every two weeks keeps everything fresh. We have a good group.

Off School

This has been a great day off from school. Emily Grace went to work with Mark for the morning, so I got to sleep in! I met them for lunch and brought Emily Grace back home. It's been one of those days where everything has gone right, and smoothly.

Home Alone

Tonight Mark and Emily Grace are at a Girl Scout Father/Daughter movie night. They're watching HSM 3. I'm so glad I didn't have to go! So I'm enjoying a glass (or three) of wine, catching up on my computer time, and reading a bit.

I have just joined Facebook. I know I must be the last civilized person to join.. everyone is already on! I have re-connected with some friends I haven't spoken to in a very long time. Mark has been bugging me for a while to join, but I'm just now getting the hang of using my iPhone and Twitter! One thing at a time, please!

Last night was so much fun at UNC Charlotte. Emily Grace went trick o' treating at the residence halls and the Chancellor's house. Apparently, they do this every year for staff and faculty families. This was our first time attending, and Mark and I were most impressed by the effort the students put into this event. The Chancelor's house was beautiful, and they had the 49er out front to greet the kiddies. But the residence halls is where all the action was. The students dressed up, decorated the hallways, doors and their dorm rooms.

The health room hasn't been too busy this week. It cycles through. Next week will probably be so bad I can't get lunch... you never know.

Trader Joe's

Mark and I had a date night tonight. Emily Grace spent the night with my Mother so that Mark and I can go to the parent teacher conference in the morning at WHES.

We had a really good supper at Ciro's. I had the tortellini bella roma and Mark had a chicken Caesar salad. We were treated to some accordion music by the owner. He's very good. Afterwards, we decided to hit Starbuck's for coffee and dessert instead of the Wine Vault. Conveniently, the Starbuck's was close to Trader Joe's. So of course, I had to pop in for a few minutes.

Small Group and BBQ

Last night we had a really good Small Group meeting. We're studying the book of Luke and I think it's going to be an informative and interesting study. I love getting together with our friends and sharing our thoughts and feelings about what God is doing in our lives. I love that we have a close group of people that we can hang out with and feel comfortable enough to open up about everything.

Random Thoughts

I have random thoughts swirling around in my head today. Not really a good thing, considering I am easily distracted even when I'm "focused". But here are a few in no particular order:

1. Am I completely fooling myself to think that I can go back to school to get my BSN? Can I afford it? Can I make time for it? What real value will it hold for me other than personal satisfaction, and is that worth all the effort?
